Our in-house rugs are handwoven on a traditional vertical loom at our Atelier in Morocco. Nestled in the Middle Atlas region, our weavers are predominantly women from the area. After the rug is woven it goes through an extensive touch and wash process to help eliminate fuzz and and reveal final color.

These pieces are incredibly plush to the touch, and made with the highest quality and sustainably sourced wool.

Please note there may be slight variances in color after the washing process. We ship FedEx from Morocco to all fifty US states and Canada. All custom rugs should ship 8-12 Weeks after ordering as they are each custom made by hand in Morocco. *For rugs larger than 10 ft. wide, an extended drying period may be necessary during the winter time.

Care

Rugs —

Moroccan Rugs can be vacuumed, preferably with a vacuum that has no beater bar, but if so just raise it to the highest setting to cause the least friction possible to the wool. Vacuum from side to side, and don’t forget to flip it over every once in a while and vacuum the back as well. If the weave is too long for your vacuum, shake your rug outside or hang it + hit it with a broom handle if you can to remove the dust.

For smaller boucherouite style rugs you can wash the in your washing machine on gentle with cold water then dry outside in the sun. Because they are easy to clean you can feel free to use these rugs in areas experiencing high traffic like kitchens and bathrooms. Medium sized boucherouite can go to a load front industrial cleaners and Large area rugs can be taken to a professional carpet cleaner annually or as needed.

All purchases are final sale. No cancellations, returns or refunds are accepted. All items are sold in 'as is' vintage condition and without warranty of any kind. By placing an order you accept that the goods ordered are vintage and made by hand, hence contain inherent irregularities.
